Christmas, for me, is all about family togetherness. Growing up, my family would gather together, all of the generations and extensions at one table. It was never about the gifts under the tree. There's a certain magic about Christmas dinner. Everyone coming in from the cold, bringing the yummiest homemade dishes. The hugs, the laughter. It's pure joy.
This year, won't be too different. We'll be snuggled up with lots of our extended family, kids running around everywhere. I can't wait to be all together again. My kids are excited about seeing their cousins. I'm excited to see how their faces light up with awe of Santa Claus. They're at a great age for it all. It's so much fun to see the world through their eyes, I get to feel a little bit of their wonder again.
What are some of your favorite parts of the holiday season? I hope you have a very merry one.
